The Social Network for Project Managers

Announcement from Project Manager Networking Group
Hi all,

Well last week I said that it snowed on Halloween (I meant before Halloween) and I got about 30 emails asking (essentially) what was wrong with me. I'll have you know that I do in fact know when Halloween is. I am neither completely crazy nor living according to a strange Martian calendar. You have to love sending typos to 75,000 people. ;) Thanks for your notes!

Last week was a busy one on projectmanagers.net... We had about 200 members join, and a lot of new discussions and posts. I hope that the site and this Linkedin group is turning into both a useful networking service and platform for interesting content about project management.

Some things to check out:

Three Ways to Stand Out as a Project Manager in Today’s Economy

Applying PM principles and procedures to a herd of cats

How Should the PM Handle a Dominator During a Team Meeting?

The Public Relations of Project Management, part two:

Some other notes, Paul Mayes set up a new group for project managers in education:

and Dennis Nealon is doing an interesting project for a PM certificate program, see if you can help him out:

Remember, anyone can start blogs and contribute. It's a fun way to get some feedback on a topic you've been thinking about.

Thanks everyone, have a great week.

Miles
